Our fractional laser system not only treats wrinkles around the mouth, cheeks and lower eyelids, but also skin tightening on the neck, décolleté and other areas of the body such as the forearms and backs of the hands. Unsightly scars and stretch marks can also be treated with fractional laser therapy.
How does laser treatment for skin smoothing work?
It is a minimally invasive procedure that removes microscopic areas of skin with controlled and shallow depth. The laser head is used to drill many tiny holes, barely visible to the naked eye, into a limited area of skin, leaving the rest of the skin surface completely intact.
What is the procedure of a laser treatment?
Treatment begins with the application of a local anesthetic ointment. After an exposure time of about 30 minutes, the laser treatment begins.
As a rule, there is a strong reddening during the treatment. In sensitive skin types, this can increase to a clearly visible irritation (redness, swelling, crusting) in the following days and last up to 10 days.
The treated areas should be protected from the sun for four weeks.
